The London Scarf

Almost fell off my chair when D said I could write this note. This is the first time I’m doing so, I guess she just knows how much London means to me. The place I found independence, the place I found love and the place I found myself.

When you’re living abroad, you’re forced out of your comfort zone and only then you’ll discover that you’re stronger and smarter than you think. You’ll find out what you’re good at and what you’re not, and suddenly you become a more mature version of yourself. If there’s any dUCk that truly symbolises growing up for me, it would be this one.

It’s not the touristy places that make it special to me. It’s the moments created there - running for the bus in my heels (late for class, as usual), seeing snow for the first time, starting my blog, meeting the love of my life… his name is Harrods. #okfineandthatFadzaguytoo. And the finale of it all, walking on stage at graduation while my family takes a hundred blurry photos. Five years of being there, London will always have a piece of my heart.

I hope you’ll love this dUCk, especially if you’ve lived under the grey London skies and shivered in its cold wind too. But whether or not you’ve stepped foot in this city before, I sure hope that when you do, it’ll bring you the beautiful magic that it brought me.

Love,

Vivy
